A small crew that writes plain-language guides for homeowners who want out of a solar contract.
Short answer
Solar Exit Crew is a consumer information and referral service, not a law firm. We publish free guides based on primary sources. If you request a free review, we send your information to one partner, The Stonegate Firm, LLC, which pays us a fee for each referral.
What we do
We write guides that explain the rules around cancelling and exiting residential solar contracts in plain language, and we update them when the rules change. Every legal fact links to its source, such as the Code of Federal Regulations, the IRS or a state statute.
How we are paid
The guides are free. We earn money only when a homeowner chooses to request a free review. We share that homeowner's answers and contact details with our partner, The Stonegate Firm, LLC, an independent solar exit company, and they pay us a fee per referral. They do not pay us based on whether you hire them.
We do not provide or control their services, fees or results. Ask them directly about costs, timelines and refund terms before signing anything.
Our standards
- We do not name or rank solar companies, installers or lenders.
- We do not publish testimonials, success rates or guarantees.
- We cite primary sources and show the date each guide was updated.
- We are not lawyers, and nothing here is legal advice.
