Short answer

We collect the answers and contact details you enter in our review form and basic site analytics. If you request a review, we share your form information with one partner, The Stonegate Firm, LLC, which pays us per referral. You can opt out, ask for access or deletion, and opt out of sharing at any time.

Who we are

Solar Exit Crew ("we", "us") operates www.solarexitcrew.com, a consumer information and referral service. Contact: info@solarexitcrew.com.

What we collect

When you use the review form, we collect:

Your answer to whether you were lied to or misled during the solar sales process
Whether you lease or own your solar panels
What started the solar sales process (door-to-door, online ad, cold call or other)
Whether your solar system has become a financial or emotional burden
Your first name, last name, email address and phone number
Your consent, the exact consent wording you agreed to, the page you submitted from, the date and time, and a case number

We also collect basic technical and usage data, such as pages visited and referring site, through privacy-focused web analytics. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.

How we use it

To send your request to our partner so they can contact you about a free review
To keep a record of your consent and request
To screen out duplicate, test or fraudulent submissions
To understand how the site is used and improve our guides

What our partner receives

When you submit the form, we share your four answers, your name, email, phone number, case number, the consent wording you agreed to, and the date and time of your request with The Stonegate Firm, LLC, an independent solar exit company. They pay us a fee for each referral. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not share your information with anyone else except service providers that host our site and store our records, or when required by law.

Opting out of calls, texts and email

Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts. To stop calls or emails from us or our partner, email info@solarexitcrew.com with the subject "Opt out" and the phone number and email you used. We will pass your request to our partner.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Because our partner pays us for referrals, sharing your form information with them may be considered a "sale" under some state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time by emailing info@solarexitcrew.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share". After you opt out, we will not share any information you submit in the future, and we will not share any information we hold about you that has not already been sent.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. Submitting the review form is your direct request that we send your information to our partner so they can contact you, so we still send that request, record that a GPC signal was present, and do not share it with anyone else.

Your rights

Depending on your state, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know what we collect, access it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing, and to appeal our decision. Email info@solarexitcrew.com to make a request. We will verify your request using the email or phone number you submitted and respond within the time your state's law requires. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights. You may use an authorized agent where state law allows.

How long we keep it

We keep lead records, including consent records, for up to five years to show that we had permission to share them and to respond to questions or disputes, and then delete them. Analytics data is kept in aggregate.

Security

We use reputable hosting and storage providers and limit who can access your information. No system is perfectly secure.

Adults only

This site and form are for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We will update the effective date above when this policy changes.
